Morgan Ashkenazy (b. 1992) is a director and creative director working across new opera, fashion, and performance-based worldbuilding in collaboration with artists, designers, and institutions.
Her practice develops “explosive empathies”—a mode of staging the nonhuman at the same level of the human. And social dramaturgies that stage the coming together of people as a way of rehearsing new forms of society and collective life.
She has worked in assistant and artistic capacities within institutions including the National Stary Theatre in Kraków, Theater Magdeburg, Fundación Williams Buenos Aires, and the Gran Teatre del Liceu Barcelona, alongside independent work and collaborations.
